The Humanistic Catholic Church

Aesthetic Heritage, Human Emphasis

The Humanistic Catholic Church prioritizes humanity: Catholic in external observance, humanistic in purpose. We uphold the Catholic sequence of Mass, sacraments, and vestments, interpreting these rituals through human dignity, nature, logic, empathy, and our shared communal bonds.

Our Essence

Holding Tradition within Our Shared Humanity

The Humanistic Catholic Church focuses on the human journey: Catholic in ritual form, humanistic in philosophy. We keep the established Catholic cycle of Mass, sacraments, and liturgical life, re-envisioning these practices through the lens of human rights, reason, care, community, and moral duty. Founded by Bishop Robert Horwath, we emphasize the unity of the human family, ethical healing, and the progress of our shared conscience.

Bishop Robert Horwath

Guardian of Custom and Human Logic

As the founding bishop in Ketchikan, Alaska, Bishop Robert Horwath serves as the unifying lead for the Humanistic Catholic Church. He directs the organizational stability and ritual cycles of our community, ensuring every Mass and rite stays Catholic in style but humanistic in heart. His work centers on the global family, historical continuity, and the moral duty we have toward the world and each other within our structure.

Internal Governance and Order

The Humanistic Catholic Church centers on human values: Catholic in aesthetic, humanistic in essence. We use a Corporation Sole and episcopal oversight to maintain ceremonial stability and the health of our human community.

The Central Office

Directed by Bishop Robert Horwath, this office acts as the hub for leadership, support, and the guarding of our ritual customs across all of our local parishes.

Leadership Change

We follow a formal officer succession to ensure the collective memory and liturgical standards of our people are protected for all future human generations.

Regional Heart

Based in Ketchikan, Alaska, the primary seat serves as the hub for our missions, managing ethical development and the ritual lives of our communal leaders.

Ritual Independence

Functioning outside Roman jurisdiction, we manage our own rules and records, dedicated entirely to the thriving of humanity and our shared ethical path.
